Farming for Energy within Oneself
Observing from the cheap seat across the tracks, a Mind Field of un-explosive, unpredictable thoughts sorting through the weeds, land minds inside the Jungle of a Mind Real Estate, “its open-air reading time”.
The following is about a conversation that took place recently, not so much about a question, but more of a statement. Then a reflection on the statement took place, and this came out with a self answer, as to why.
To the nature of us humans, the question would be what was the statement? Let's say the result of it, brings us to the question above, and we can say it another way, looking for the energy to do. That seems to bring more questions than getting the energy to do something about it.
In answering the statement or more defined question, I came up with the following answers, to myself. I have lost a very good friend, that was the most encouraging to me about taking action on a matter of concern to self or another.
Went looking further, and here is what I found, nothing that was or is lost, including my friend, but what was always been there all along…Distraction. Distractions in the form of unlimited thoughts, of all stages of our day, as we travel through it, from the rising of the sun to its setting. Staging an unstoppable process, in what is called our mind, until we can take control of it.
Further, it reminds me that nothing is ever lost, once you have engaged with it, including other humans on our path. How you view them, is what matter the most, from being dead to the living and in between.
After making some progress and was able to hold on to one of those floating thoughts, then put a grip on it. I came up with the following, that thoughts are like water, you can not stop running water. Once you spill it, you can not put it back into the jar or its container, from whence it came.
You remember this, you can not cry over spilled milk, I have heard that statement all my life. I also have used it, so many times as well, in sharing a view on matters, that were shared with me. It too has gotten misplaced, among the many floating thoughts, questioning the actions of self and others.
If I were to ask, can you stop running water, there would be many answers coming back stating yes, just turn the tap off…hum.
Turning the tap off, turns the water you control off, what about the water, you can not control or even the one in your control? Thoughts are like water, come in many forms and when they arrive, it is out of our control, leaving us to deal with their effects on us. The question, is flowing water and our thoughts are the same as those things in our lives that we have no control over, outside of ourselves?
Water, always finds its way, clearing a part or going around anything in its way, doing good along the way. It cleans, it feeds, it builds and that is what we can tell so far, about water, most importantly, it has no destination in mind to talk about. Wherever it crosses our path, it always leaves a statement of result, stating it is always here; and was here for a bit, and moved on. Maybe we all should consider the same and take action on thoughts, as we move forward.
Next, why are we so concerned with what others are doing with their lives? When we are so busy looking after or concerning ourselves with other people’s lives, who is looking after ours? Would that be just a reflection of ourselves when we are doing that? Stating we do not like or love the way we find or see ourselves?
So, while we are busy dealing with other’s issues, we do not need to deal with our issues. Another deflection in distraction, looking up at the stars in the heavens they are unlimited, we are told, just like our thoughts, another distraction in the prevention to act.
There is a long list of things, we can come up with that are stopping us from taking action on matters of concern in our lives. The one that tops the list, I will go out on a branch here, and say FEAR, confidence none, do not believe, that one can make the change.
Number two, BLAMING someone else, not taking responsibility, faking the play, and getting nowhere, in the game of living life. In conclusion without an end, just because you think you’re doing the right thing never assume you are. A well know statement, about assume or assumption…we all know what is said about it, and its correctness?
